چکیده
A new approach for the synthesis of zero-valent copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) supported on ordered mesoporous silica SBA-15 and SBA-16 by using vegetal antioxidants, coffee Robusta green tea was developed in present work. Diverse characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption–desorption, transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy thermal programmed desorption CO2 water allowed stating that appreciable specific surface area porosity favor CuNP formation. Copper-loaded exhibited higher basicity hydrophilic character according to type source reducing agents framework, respectively. OH-compounds interactions with both SBA more particularly available Si–O-Si groups were found promote metal dispersion particle size. The results obtained herein open promising prospects designing low cost “green” silica-based materials judiciously tailored catalysis, adsorption other processes.

Vapour phase hydrogenation of phenol over rhodium on SBA-15 and SBA-16.
In the present work, mesoporous SBA-15 and SBA-16 were synthesised using classical methods, and their physicochemical properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), FTIR, TEM and N2 adsorption-desorption. Rhodium (Rh, 1 wt %) was loaded on the mesoporous SBA-15 and SBA-16 by an impregnation method. The Rh surface coverage, dispersion and crystallite size were determined by room temper...
متن کاملCharacteristics of Carbon Material Formation on SBA-15 and Ni-SBA-15 Templates by Acetylene Decomposition and Their Bioactivity Effects
Carbon spheres and tubes were formed from acetylene decomposition on SBA-15 and Ni-SBA-15 at 650-850 °C. At 650 °C, the decomposed carbons covered the surface of the support, and no carbon spheres and filament materials were formed. Carbon sphere formation occurred at 750 °C-850 °C; with diameters ranging from 0.8 μm-1.1 μm. For Ni-SBA-15, the diameters of the spheres and filaments were 0.8 μm ...
متن کاملFormation of cyanide-functionalized SBA-15 and its transformation to carboxylate-functionalized SBA-15
Cyanide-functionalized mesoporous silica SBA-15 (CN/SBA-15) with pore diameters larger than 6 nm has been prepared by a one-pot synthesis. The structure of CN/SBA-15 is affected by the amount of the functional silane 2-cyanoethyltriethoxysilane (CTES) and the conditions of co-condensation in the acidic aqueous solution of the triblock copolymer Pluronic P123: whereas direct mixing of the silica...
متن کاملDegradation of trinitroglycerin (TNG) using zero-valent iron nanoparticles/nanosilica SBA-15 composite (ZVINs/SBA-15).
Trinitroglycerin (TNG) is an industrial chemical mostly known for its clinical use in treating angina and manufacturing dynamite. The wide manufacture and application of TNG has led to contamination of vast areas of soil and water. The present study describes degradation of TNG with zero-valent iron nanoparticles (ZVINs) in water either present alone or stabilized on nanostructured silica SBA-1...
متن کاملDirect correlation of the dispersion and structure in vanadium oxide supported on silica SBA-15
Raman, UV-Vis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were combined in one experimental setup to directly study the interplay between structure and dispersion of SBA-15 supported vanadium oxide during dehydration. The fully hydrated catalyst is slightly reduced but consists mainly of V species with pseudo-octahedral V coordination strongly resembling the xerogel V2O5·1.2H2O. After dehydration a hi...
